Proverbs
14:15 says, 'Only simpletons believe everything they are told!
The prudent carefully consider their steps.' It is a noble
quest to seek answers to questions of orthodoxy (correct Biblical
interpretation). Acts 17:10-12
tells us that the Bereans questioned even the apostles Paul and
Silas when they taught in the synagogue. Verse 11 says,
"They (the Bereans) searched the Scriptures day after day to
check up on Paul and Silas, to see if they were really
teaching the truth." (NLT) And the Bereans were
considered more noble than those in Thessalonica because of
their questioning.
We
at CRJournal.com believe that God has started a revolution!
The basis of this revolution is to counteract the unbiblical
stance of some ministers who are using their leadership
roles to treat the children of God under their care with force and
cruelty (Ezekiel 34:1-10). The cries of the hurt, abused,
abandoned, ripped off, manipulated and oppressed have not fallen
on deaf ears. God is the Great Shepherd, and he will not be
mocked by the likes of such men or women who mistreat the sheep in His name
to further establish their own power and wealth.
And
so, out of a quest for Truth, we pose these thoughts, write these
articles and debate these issues to stand humbly ready with a
defense for what we believe and to bring reform to the Charismatic
Church.
"Error
never shows itself in its naked reality, in order not to be
discovered. On the contrary, it dresses elegantly,
so that the unwary may be led to believe that it is more
truthful than truth itself." -Irenaeus of
Lyons
